About Dr. Neff

New Hampshire Magazine (August 2008) surveyed 941 dentists in the state.  The dentists were asked “who would you recommend if someone were seeking an endodontist?”

The top vote getter?  Dr. Theodore Neff.

Dr. Neff has been practicing in New Hampshire since 2001.  He served the Manchester Dental Society as president (2008-2009), as vice president (2007-2008), and as treasurer (2006-2007).  He is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Hampshire Dental Society and the Manchester Dental Society.  He is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists.  He was recently inducted into the prestigious Pierre Fauchard Academy, a worldwide dental honor society.

Dr. Neff received his bachelor’s degree in biology in 1991 from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va.  He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1998 from Louisiana State University Medical Center.  He then was accepted into the three-year Endodontics Residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center and received his Certificate in Endodontics in 2001.  During the residency, Dr. Neff earned a master’s degree in anatomy from Louisiana State University Medical Center.

 

Professional recognition

Dr. Neff is published in the Journal of Endodontics (December 2002) for his extensive research into the effects of heat (used during the filling phase of root canal therapy) on the properties of root canal sealing cements.  He has lectured on this subject before the American Association for Dental Research.  He has also lectured before the New Hampshire Dental Society on the subject of apex locators (electronic devices used to measure root canal lengths).  Dr. Neff earns continuing education in endodontics each year at the annual session of the American Association of Endodontists.

Dr. Neff has considerable experience with all phases of current endodontic technique, both surgical and non-surgical.  He uses the most advanced imaging, instrumentation and microscopy available to achieve state-of-the-art root canal therapy.
